Kathy in Denver
I try as a good Democrat to recycle, but in my neighborhood it is becoming more and more difficult. I recently was taking my recyclables out to the curb with the other trash (because the one recycling bin in the neighborhood suddenly and inexplicably disappeared) and my next door neighbor asked me if I "get anything" for separating them, etc.

Leanard from Summit County
I decided I wanted to see what the Roan Plateau looked like. We went up and spent 3 days there. We saw elk herds and hiked down to a waterfall. It was beautiful. We did see some oil towers but they were probably on private land. Now we have CAA company promising billions of dollars but there are ways to extract that don't destroy the land and water. I know Mark has supported that.
Charles from Parker
Our house burned to the ground on Columbus Day! What a way to reduce your carbon footprint. We are committed to rebuilding "green", but are held back by the $2000 cap on renewable energy credits and our membership in the intermountain electrical coop, IREA. They are required to use net metering but will give us only wholesale rates on what we put back into the grid.
Land Management Concerns from Boulder

The agencies are being starved of funds. Parks are closing and the forest service is going through another round of reorganizations. It would be nice to have someone in the Senate who would be sure our parks are funded.
Biking from Denver
I ride my bike to work a lot. The price of gas is a motivating factor. I notice that when the price of gas goes up, there are a lot more bikers on the roads. When the price goes down, there are fewer bikers.
