Kathy in Denver

I try as a good Democrat to recycle, but in my neighborhood it is becoming more and more difficult. I recently was taking my recyclables out to the curb with the other trash (because the one recycling bin in the neighborhood suddenly and inexplicably disappeared) and my next door neighbor asked me if I "get anything" for separating them, etc.

We got to talking and found out that we both have been trying to find a way to recycle and can't without a lot of travel, which negates some of the benefits in the first place. My idea is to have a statewide recycling system with bins in all communities and a facility run by the state. Is this possible?
