Jefferson County tells us how to teach, not just what to teach, but how to teach. The federal government needs to hand the job of educating children back down to the states. That’s where it belongs because there are so many differences between each state. It’s okay to have general guidelines, but the states know what their needs are. Why does the federal government come up with a one-size-fits-all for the U.S.? It is okay to hold everyone accountable but keep it at the state level.
