Please stop the expansion of Alaska's aerial shooting of wolves program by signing the petition
Mark wants know what's on your mind and answer your questions about the issues at stake in the race for Senate! That's why he is participating in an engaging question-and-answer forum on YouTube, to give you, your fellow MarkUdall.com activists, and the general public the chance to have a direct, two-way conversation with the candidates for Colorado's open Senate seat.
Please click here to submit a video question for Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer by Sunday, August 31. If you do not have YouTube account, please click here to create so that you can submit your video. The top 5 video submissions will be answered by both candidates! The stakes of this race are high and Coloradans deserve a Senator who will look out for their interests, not the special interests. We know that Mark Udall is the only candidate in this race who is prepared to lead our state forward by investing in our renewable energy future, fighting for Colorado's working families, and restoring America's role in the international community. This YouTube forum will give all Coloradans a unique opportunity to see just how stark the differences are between Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer. We encourage you to read more about where Mark stands on the issues, and Bob Schaffer's shameful record. Then, take a few minutes this weekend to record a video using your webcam, digital camera, camcorder, or mobile phone -- and submit it to YouTube as a "Video Response." Submissions will not be accepted after Sunday, August 31, so please pose your question to Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer today! Thank you for participating in this exciting conversation. Sarah Palin requisitioned quite a bit of money for Alaska's aerial shooting of wolves program. According to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, she is an enemy to animals there. Rural New Yorkers are questioning whether states or towns determine where wind zones are located and if a state entity will regulate the transparency of lucrative deals in renewable energy products. In Colorado, Bill Ritter's Climate Action Plan, has produced "green" grants and is trying to reduce the size of carbon footprints in Colorado. One news item pinpoints Colorado utilities as the spur behind production in renewable energy. The Yahoo online discussion group that I participate in, Feminist Peace Network, posted this tribute to Barbara Lee and protecting the sexual health of young people.
http://www.feministpeacenetwork.org/2008/08/14/barbara-lee-gets-it-right-about-aids-policy-pepfar-and-so-much-more/ I sent Ken Salazar and said that I thought his complacency about the global gag rule made him resemble a Republican and made me question whether I should have voted for him. At the time that he took office though, Colorado didn't have a Democrat U.S. Senator. I would like Mark Udall to not be so conservative. The Udall Campaign released the following statement today. You will be able to see the debate for yourself on FOX 31 this Sunday at 10:00 p.m.
The Udall campaign released the following statement this morning. View the new ad here.
The powerful special interests are at it again—launching false attacks on Mark Udall. But, here are the facts: Mark Udall has voted to reduce taxes on middle class families and Colorado's small businesses—at least 65 times. It's true (see below the more than 65 votes Mark Udall has cast to reduce taxes on small businesses and the middle class). Meanwhile, Bob Schaffer and his special interest allies just keep giving away billions in tax breaks to millionaires, big oil companies, and corporations who ship American jobs overseas. Coloradans deserve better than false, misleading attacks. And Coloradans deserve better than when Washington and Bob Schaffer sell out to special interests. http://www.markudall.com/content/network/ It seems as if tomorrow night will mark the end of the epic contest for the 2008 Democratic nomination. Hillary has recently taken a more conciliatory tone with her democratic rival and has called upon her top donors to attend a speech in New York on Tuesday. Read More »
