For additional information and to find out how you or your organization can get involved, contact Thomas Evans at 720-341-7499 Check out the editorial Vince Carroll wrote regarding the cheap stunt Bob Schaffer pulled at the debate: namely reading only the first part of Mark's resolution to stop the war in its tracks (which rightly described Saddam Hussein as the brutal tyrant that he was) calling it Mark Udall's "declaration of war."
It was too much even for Vince Carroll to take. If you fail to look closely, you could easily conclude that the supposedly anti-war Udall was actually on the same page as the congressional majority that ultimately did authorize war - and that Udall's vote against their resolution amounted to splitting hairs. Republican candidate for the senate Bob Schaffer was accused of oil profiteering in Kurdish regions of Iraq while he was an oil executive for Aspect Energy.

I was going to put this text on a fundraising page, but then I started worrying that the fundraising page defaults might suggest that I was fundraising despite the text. So I'm blogging it instead. Any other Udall supporters out there who might be federal employees: Don't screw up and think its OK to fundraise (for any candidate) just because the web site makes it easy to do! It seems as if tomorrow night will mark the end of the epic contest for the 2008 Democratic nomination. Hillary has recently taken a more conciliatory tone with her democratic rival and has called upon her top donors to attend a speech in New York on Tuesday. Read More »
