Udall(s) for Senate

  I hope you will join me in supporting Congressman Mark Udall's candidacy for United State Senator from Colorado. Mark cares about the issues I care about: protecting the environment, ending our dependence on foreign oil by promoting clean energy, bringing our troops home from Iraq and making affordable health care available to every American.

  Four years ago I traveled to Colorado, my former home state, and walked precincts in Denver on election day to help get out the Democratic Vote. While John Kerry lost Colorado by a narrow margin, we did succeed in taking a senate seat, a house seat, and control of the state legislature away from the Republicans. This year we stand an excellent chance of turning Colorado from red to blue in the presidential race and electing Mark Udall to the U.S. Senate.

  But one Udall in the Senate won't be enough. I hope you will also join me in supporting Mark's cousin, Congressman Tom Udall, in his bid for an open Senate seat in New Mexico. Tom is the son Stewart Udall, a former congressman and secretary of the interior. Mark is the son of Mo Udall, who served 30 years in the House of Representatives and ran for president in 1976.
