The Credit CARD Act, which provides a number of common-sense protections for American consumers, is set to go into effect in February 2010, allowing the credit card companies time to update their systems and implement the new policies. Sadly, they are using this time to game the system.

That’s why I’ve introduced the Expedited CARD Reform for Consumers Act to speed the deadline and co-sponsored legislation with Senator Chris Dodd to freeze interest rates immediately.

Unfortunately, Republican Senators are using procedural tactics to hold up passage of legislation. I need your help to get these pieces of legislation passed and stop credit card companies from gaming the system.
