Save the Roan Plateau

I support the common-sense proposals to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and to increase our usage of clean, renewable energy that were introduced by Congressmen Mark Udall and John Salazar and passed by the House of Representatives with broad, bipartisan support.

I also join the sportsmen, anglers, conservationists, the Garfield County Commissioners, and the town councils of Silt, Rifle, New Castle, Carbondale, Parachute, and Glenwood Springs, each of whom have also expressed their desire to protect Federal lands on top of the Roan Plateau from massive drilling by the oil and gas industry.

I stand with my fellow Coloradans trying to protect the Western Slope, and call on the United States Senate and President Bush to stand with us.
